What does this insurance cover?
Typical policy benefits might cover:

  • Flood cover (depending on location)
  • Regardless of the age of your home and contents, your old is replaced with new
Accidental Damage, Home and Contents Insurance

Rather than listing individual items for your insurance cover, Accidental Damage Home and Contents Insurance has higher limits for valuables and offers protection for special items like jewellery, artwork and collectibles as well as your portable contents and valuables when you’re holidaying in Australia and New Zealand. Benefits typically include:

  • 30% extra cover if replacement costs exceed what your home is insured for under the Safety Net home protection

  • Automatic cover for accidental loss or damage, both in your home and also anywhere in Australia and New Zealand for up to 185 days
Landlords Home and Contents Insurance

If you’re a landlord, you’ve already made a serious investment in property. However, it doesn’t matter how careful you are at selecting tenants, you can’t be expected to monitor what’s happening to your property daily. Landlords Home and Contents Insurance protects your investment property against damage caused by tenants and loss of rental income along the way. Benefits typically include:

  • Protection for rental income if your tenants default on their rent or your home is damaged (limits and conditions apply to this cover. Please see the Product Disclosure Statement)
  • Protection for theft and malicious damage by tenants
  • Flood is usually covered automatically as a result of rain, storms, rising rivers, flash floods and flooding from faulty household items and pipes.
Strata Residential Insurance

We’ve made protecting your property easier, with Strata Residential Insurance. With this cover, you’ll have the confidence of knowing your residential buildings under a strata, group, body corporate or community title are covered for the building and common contents (if you choose this cover).

You’re also covered for expenses ranging from paying exploration costs to find a leaky pipe source to accidental damage. Strata Insurance can also provide:

  • Temporary accommodation for up to 12 months if a unit in your building cannot be lived in due to damage
  • Up to 12 months of the unit owner’s rent if a tenanted unit in your building cannot be lived in due to damage
  • Legal liability cover up to $10 million.

Landlords Insurance

Landlords Insurance

If you own an investment property, by its very nature you won’t be around it often to see that it is protected against any unforeseen damages or destruction.

Quite simply, Landlord Insurance is vital for all investment property owners, to safeguard you from an extensive list of potential adverse events including loss of rent, theft or burglary, accidental or malicious damage and so much more.

Who is it for?
Anyone who owns an investment property that is rented out should consider Landlord’s insurance. Landlord policies differ in that some will only cover you for a selection of scenarios. Your Resilium Adviser will be able to outline the kind of Landlord Insurance that will best suit your individual needs.

What does this insurance cover?
A typical landlord insurance policy will cover the building’s permanent fixtures and fittings against unforeseen damage or destruction. It also offers the option of insuring your belongings or contents that reside in the building, such as furnishings and home appliances.

Standard policies will generally offer protection against:
  • Explosions
  • Water damage
  • Vandalism and theft
  • Lease break (when the tenants leave the premises before due date)
  • Natural disasters
  • Civil unrest and rioting
Building Cover for:
  • Pipes, cables, fixed appliances (e.g. dishwashers, air conditioners)
  • Gas or plumbing systems
  • Fixtures and fittings (except for carpets, loose floor coverings, curtains & internal blinds)
  • Exterior blinds and awnings
  • Some external structures
  • Liability coverage, which protects you from legal responsibility in case of an unforeseen accident where a person sustains an injury at your rental property

Pleasure Craft Insurance

Pleasure Craft Insurance

Whether you’re fishing, relaxing, cruising, or just spending time with family and friends, there really is nothing quite like an afternoon on the water.

However, while boating can be a lot of fun, making sure you have the proper cover while you’re out on the water will leave you with nothing more to worry about than which way the wind is blowing.

What does this insurance cover?
Resilium advisers will examine all available policies but will generally suggest two types of Boat Insurance to consider.

Essential Boat Insurance

  • This covers you for amounts you must legally pay for injury or death of another person or loss or damage to their property caused by your boat. The cover is limited to $10 million, as well as legal and other costs the insurer has agreed to pay when you make a claim.

Comprehensive Boat Insurance
This kind of insurance includes all the benefits of an Essential Boat cover policy, as well as loss or damage to your boat by fire, theft, malicious or storm damage. It also can include:

  • Two-year new replacement if you are the first registered owner of the boat and choose to accept a new replacement hull, boat trailer or motor of the same make, model and price
  • Up to $5,000 for each rescue charged by a maritime rescue organisation which searches for you and your boat after you are reported missing.

Private & Prestige Motor Insurance

Private & Prestige Motor Insurance

Prestige cars have almost legendary status, and if you’re lucky enough to own a prestige car, you’ll probably appreciate that this high-end performance vehicle will be hard to replace and one that you want to protect.

Prestige vehicles can include brands like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Lotus, Aston Martin and Bugatti. The term also includes classic and vintage cars that are sometimes one of a kind.

What does this insurance cover?
Prestige car owners should consider comprehensive car insurance with a few extras served on top. A private/prestige motor insurance policy from Resilium will typically cover:
  • Accidental damage
  • Loss or damage by fire
  • Storm or flood damage
  • Damage to another vehicle or property
  • Theft or attempted theft
  • Vandalism or malicious acts
  • Windscreen or window glass damage
  • Emergency repairs to your car
  • Salvage rights
  • Towing
